A floating classroom on Lake Lanier will continue to welcome underprivileged youth in Georgia, thanks to a donation made by ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Helps.

Sponsored by Deloitte Private and The Wall Street Journal, the program is meant to shine a light on the power of private companies in the US.

ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Helps has pledged $250,000 to fund two reforestation projects in the Mississippi River Delta and West Virginia’s Monongahela National Forest. ÐßÐßÊÓƵ’s pledge launches an annual ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Helps sponsorship of the Arbor Day Foundation.

ÐßÐßÊÓƵ’s $250,000 donation will be used to implement a curriculum connecting science, technology, engineering and mathematics in schools across the US.  

McClain, who has served as a member of ÐßÐßÊÓƵ’s Corporate Board of Directors since 2016, succeeds Mike Marberry, who is retiring after a 25-year career with ÐßÐßÊÓƵ, including 13 years as President & CEO.

The goal of the Impact Global Education Network is to provide member organizations with multi-year funding to help them scale their efforts, starting with $220,000 of multi-year funding to our inaugural members, Shanghai Young Bakers and Musicians for Education.

The 10 projects chosen for funding represent the largest number of recipients since the Impact Your Community funding program was launched in 2018.

MAGNIFIN products are sold globally by Martinswerk GmbH as part of the HEM Fire Retardant Additives (FRA) strategic business unit, which produces a wide range of halogen-free fire retardants, smoke suppressants and specialty aluminum oxides.

The Rifle, Colorado-based business is a key producer of sodium bicarbonate, also known as baking soda. Natural Soda’s products are complementary to HEM’s diversified portfolio of specialty engineered materials, which includes the production of calcium carbonate products that are used in a variety of health and nutrition applications, as well as construction.

The R.I.S.E. program builds specially adapted smart homes for America’s most severely wounded veterans and first responders, as well as their families. ÐßÐßÊÓƵ’s annual cash donation will be directed to one home build to cover any outstanding costs.
