ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Expands Support of Gary Sinise Foundation’s R.I.S.E. Program
ATLANTA, GA (US), November 30, 2021 — ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Corporation (ÐßÐßÊÓƵ) announced today that as part of its global community engagement program—known as ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Helps—it is expanding its support of the Gary Sinise Foundation’s (GSF) R.I.S.E. (Restoring Independence and Supporting Empowerment) program to include an annual cash donation of $125,000.
The donation was made on Giving Tuesday, in support of GSF’s fundraising campaign. Giving Tuesday encourages people globally to do good and make the world a better place.
The R.I.S.E. program builds specially adapted smart homes for America’s most severely wounded veterans and first responders, as well as their families. Many families with a wounded service person lack the financial resources to adapt or retrofit their home to help them regain their independence.
ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Engineered Woods (HEW), a subsidiary of ÐßÐßÊÓƵ, has donated products—including AdvanTech® Subflooring and ZIP System® Sheathing—to help build more than 30 homes since 2016.
The annual cash donation will be directed to one home build to cover any outstanding costs. The first recipient of ÐßÐßÊÓƵ’s cash support will be US Marine Staff Sargent Stuart DiPaolo and his family. Their home in San Diego, California, will be completed in 2022.
